Sociology redefined

Any animal social or otherwise does fear incoming people. We talk about tigers marking their territories in the jungles and laugh about the dogs doing the same in cities/towns (in India at least) But look at what we are doing. Although we talk about Raj Thackeray being wrong about migrants coming into Maharashtra or about the West Bengal minister (I forgot his name) being wrong about the influx of Marwari into West Bengal. But these incidents are not an aberration. Look at the past ….
The prominent ones that I am reminded of are :
· The revolts in Paris against Algerians.
· The revolts in the US against Muslims
· The Darfur genocide
· The Serbia Kosovo conflictAll these incidents if analyzed deeply would have the same thing as the root cause.

I would like to put up a theory that once a friend of mine told me in a highly inebriated state. But as they say a lot of people make lot more sense when drunk than otherwise. He says:” each person has a shell around him”. This shell is what keeps him from easily interacting with people around him. Yeah! Blame the shell next time you are not able put up a conversation with the hot chick sitting next to you on your twenty minute journey from Kandivli to Santacruz (or you could blame the crowd as well). OK...OK I am sorry to digress from the topic. But actually its twenty minutes because she got into the train at Bandra. Yeah and then these shells have some kind of affinity to shells of a certain type and repulsive to shells of another kind. The affinity to a certain shell is directly proportional to the similarity to the shell and inversely proportional to the difference to other shells around you.Same goes to true for the repulsive nature. OK ..OK going on with the theory..These shells which have affinity towards each other end up building a larger shell. So when a new shell is introduced the larger shell tries to still assimilate this small shell but ends up repelling it to a small distance. What would happen if a large number of new shells of a different kind came near an already present large shell? Obvious my dear Watson (if Holmes didn’t use it I surely will) the repulsion force grows larger and larger. But stll there is some kind of equilibrium tht holds everything together. This is because although there is repulsion there is some amount of attraction due to similarity shared. And each case all that is required is the straw. Could be angry rantings of an author , illegal occupation of territory by a few , an proclamation made in an unacceptable way or such .
I might go one step ahead to the aim of the society has never been to bring together people .It has always been to differentiate ,to separate . To substantiate this I would like to bring up the example of language. The very purpose of language is not just to communicate it is to communicate to a certain set of people whereby alienating others. Had the very purpose of the language been communication evolution of language should not have led to specializations but to generalizations per se .. I mean Greek and Latin and Sanskrit and Pali and Tamil would have given way to something that everyone could understand .The human brain has the capability to communicate telepathically (I still don’t know whether telepathy uses language or not ) The languages should have developed to one in which thought could be easily translated and could have been deciphered by one and all. But instead of the development of one universal language what emerged is a plethora of languages each with its differences.

PS: Thanks Fa**an Mia for the original theory and the able guy from Sparta for the addendum at the end
